About us

I joined Burn FM as a fresher in 2024 presenting 'Jack's Jukebox'. I became Deputy Station Manager in June 2025 and after a successful year, can't wait to take on the role of Station Manager for 2026/27. I'm responsible for the smooth running of the station, liaising closely with committee members, the Guild, Student Radio Association and, importantly, show hosts. I manage the station as a whole, implementing new ideas, and arranging, and hosting events and opportunities.

🚨 BEEP BEEP 🚨 Deputy Station Manager incoming! ⚠️ I’ve been part of Burn FM for a good 3 years now, co-hosting a few different shows. You may have heard me on Recession Indicator 📉 last year, or a few years ago on Beats Beyond Borders 🌍. This year, I’ll be helping to manage our station with Jack.

My role is a bit of everything: keeping up to date with people in committee, planning meetings, and ensuring everyone is heard so we can realise our plans for the year. Now our studio PCs are updated from my previous year as Head of Tech, I can’t wait to make a difference in other parts of Burn as Deputy Station Manager!

This is my third year at Burn and I'm excited to continue my role as Head of Programming creating Burn FM's schedule and acting as a point of contact for show hosts as well as continuing to host my own show.

This will be my second year in burn and my first year on committee. I host a show called Inside Thoughts and I love it. I'm so excited to be your deputy head of programming and cannot wait to get started!!

This is my second year with burn, doing my show ‘headphones on’! This year as treasurer I’ll be trying to raise some money for burn as well as organising funds. I’m excited to work with the rest of the committee to help execute their amazing ideas!

I’m a bassist and guitarist and currently in a band. I collect CDs and cassettes, sketch in my spare time, and play for Burn FC. As head of production, I’m responsible for Burn FM’s audio content, like stings and edited interviews.

I'm super excited to be continuing on committee as Head of Internal Music for third year! I've been apart of Burn since first year, and have loved being on committee in my second year. You may have heard me co-hosting the music team show or on 'Libby Needs A Minute.' This year, I will be interviewing artists, attempting to get more members at music team show and playing new releases on air. Can't wait to work with the committee and play great music! :)

I have been a part of Burn FM for 3 years now and I love this society! I have hosted a number of different shows over the years and am so excited to take on the role of social secretary for my final year! I cant wait to start organising Burn's social events, so keep an eye out for opportunities to get involved with the society!

I have co-hosted my show ‘Long Live the Long Play’ since I joined Burn in 2026, and I am so excited to be the new Head of Marketing for 2026/2027! I will be running the social media and advertising (such as merch etc.) so that we can keep growing this amazing community and expand our outreach as much as possible :)

Being a part of burn fm was the coolest experience last year and I loved hosting my show Peach Jam! I am so excited to bring all the latest news with Glory as part of News Team.

I'm in my second year here at Birmingham and looking forward to covering all the major sporting stories. Swimming, tennis and football are the main sports I'm interested in; however I often find myself watching any sport! Being a football fan of both Liverpool and my local team Shrewsbury Town always promises to give me an emotional rollercoaster, from the excitement of chasing titles to the misery of relegation.

I am Alistair, I love going running and playing Football as well as watching Football and American Football. My role consists of supporting the Head of Sport with planning topics for shows and discussions live on air.

I am super passionate about music, film and the arts in general. Despite being a 4th year law I am very eager to pivot towards a career in Film Archives. As Head of Arts, I oversee Arts Team at Burn FM, as well as working on side projects such as a BurnFM zine.

I loved having my own show Muzz FM in the past year and I am looking forward to co-hosting the arts show weekly where I can share my passions and ideas for all things arty!
